Picture of USS Brooklyn

The USS Brooklyn

From Pearl Harbor to VJ Day the USS Brooklyn class cruisers served the U.S. Navy well in every theater of the war. Designed to hold their own with any cruisers the enemy could put up against them, they did just that.

Very popular with rookies because of its simple hull shape, the USS Brooklyn class kit is easy to build and to battle.

Our fiberglass USS Brooklyn kit contains a one piece fiberglass hull, plywood decks, balsa and Silkspan sheeting, rudder, two shafts & stuffing tubes, pre-formed superstructure blocks, molded turrets, full size rolled plans, molded radio box, and assembly instructions.

Also available as a complete wood frame kit, a fiberglass hull kit, and as a hull only. With appropriate plans and superstructure our Brooklyn hull can be used to construct the USS Wichita (plans not available from SWAMPWORKS).
