The Komodo Dragon...
a living dinosaurThe largest of the monitor lizards, these prehistoric relics can grow up to 10 feet in length, weigh about 300 pounds and live as long as 100 years. They have a large yellow forked tongue, can drop their lower jaw like a snake, and eat animals such as small deer and wild boar. They have a fearsome reputation, and have been known to kill human beings and canabalise their own kind. Almost extinct, the "dragon" lives on its native Komodo Island and portions of the Sundra Islands in Indonesia.
