Excavation (for the basement)

Digging the basement Digging the hole for the basement. This was after one day of digging. So far they are making good progress.

Basement almost dug out This is after 3 days of digging. The walkout-basement is almost dug out (of the rock). Hopefully they will be finished after one more day of digging (due to the expense). The left side is finished, the right needs lowered another foot or so.
Where the fill goes So what are they doing with all the rock? Here it is. This was a ravine. Now it matches the back slope of the house. They will need to cover it with dirt so we can plant grass there.
